UPDATE: Overpass struck by excavator needs reconstruction
CORRECTION: The Idaho Transportation Department originally reported that the incident was caused by a semi-truck carrying an oversized load. ITD now said that it was caused by a truck carrying an excavator on a trailer.
KIMBERLY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —
UPDATE: The excavator hit all four girders and because of the type of overpass, it is not a simple patch. Half of the overpass will have to be rebuilt and this will likely close the overpass for around a year.
