Filer teacher indicted for rape

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A Filer teacher has been indicted by a grand jury for rape.

Jacob Mishler is a science teacher at the elementary school, according to the Filer School District website.

Court documents reveal investigators served a warrant for his arrest and he posted bond. The rape charge is for when the victim resists but the resistance is overcome by force or violence.

We reached out to the school district and received a statement from Superintendent Kelli Schroeder.

Mishler is awaiting arraignment in district court, which is slated for September 30th at 8:30 a.m.
