Two Boise State football players make preseason award watch lists

BOISE, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — More preseason accolades coming for Boise State football players.
Redshirt sophomore Kage Casey earned recognition on the Outland Trophy Watch List, which recognizes the country’s most outstanding interior lineman and senior Ahmed Hassanein was named to the Bronko Nagurski Trophy Watch List.
This honors the most outstanding defensive player.
Casey made the Athletic’s freshman All-America second team last season.
Hassanein, a defensive end, earned all-Mountain West first-team honors in 2023.
The Football Writers Association of America made the announcement Tuesday.
