TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Twin Falls Police officers rushed to the Fawnbrook Apartments at 645 Fawnbrook Avenue on Wednesday evening for a report of a shooting.

The call came in at 7:22 p.m. and officers arrived about a minute later. Due to a patrol unit being on a previous call at Target, officers were quickly able to head to the scene and render aid to the victim, who was lying on the ground, just outside Building ‘I’.

We spoke with Sgt. Eric Barzee who didn’t know how many suspects are involved or the events leading up to the shooting.

The victim was transported to St. Luke’s Magic Valley and his condition is unknown.

There were families outside the crime scene tape, but no one wanted to go on camera, explaining what they saw or heard. As of earlier Wednesday evening, there was crime scene tape circulating the southwest end of the complex.

“With something like this there’s always a concern,” explained Sgt. Barzee. “We have very little information, obviously know someone else was involved, but how many and where they went, we’re checking into that right now.”

Idaho State Police and Twin Falls Sheriff’s Office investigators offered assistance.

“We have people with the family and/or friends of the gentlemen out here as well as officers at the hospital trying to gather additional information,” Sgt. Barzee added.

Anyone with information on the incident, is urged to call 311.
