Multiple vehicle crash leaves one person hospitalized
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A three-vehicle crash occurred on Tuesday evening on Addison Avenue and Eastland Drive. The Twin Falls Police and Fire Departments were dispatched around 5 p.m. for a collision between a pick-up truck and an SUV.
The Twin Falls Fire Department said the crash occurred in a traffic lane traffic. The crash closed off several lanes of traffic on Addison Avenue heading west. One individual was injured and transported to the nearest hospital. The severity of the injury was unknown.
“There were multiple vehicles involved, and one of them was a hybrid so it caused us to be a little be longer on scene, just to make sure the vehicle was rendered safe just because there’s additional hazards associated with hybrids and the batteries within them,” said Twin Falls Fire Captain Gerald Dillman. “Then of course, our primary is always giving patients care and medical needs.”
First responders and law enforcement cleared the debris from the crash off the roads. Addison Avenue was reopened within the hour. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
