TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Quilts of Valor of the Magic Valley hosted Sew a Quilt Top Day on Saturday, along with the rest of the chapters for the entire US.

Quilts of Valor is a group where people sew quilts to honor veterans and service members.

These quilts are to comfort and heal veterans who have served our country.

The quilts are three-layered and aim to provide warmth and softness.

The Magic Valley got together at American Legion Post 447 in Twin Falls to sow together.

“We’re having our National Sew Day for Quilts of Valor. We’re inviting guests from the community to come in and sew with us,” said Naomi Ames, leader of Magic Valley Quilts of Valor. “We’re with our Magic Valley Soul Quilts of Valor.”

The Magic Valley chapter of Quilts of Valor is also raffling a special quilt.

You can participate in the raffle by buying tickets at various events in the community.
