TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —The holidays aren’t over for the Hispanic community. .

Residents from the Magic Valley came together today to celebrate Reyes.

“El dia de los Reyes Magos”, or three kings day is a Hispanic celebration where we recall the arrival of the three wise men in Bethlehem and the gifts they gave to Jesus.

This has been the eleventh year, this event is being held.

There were many activities for all to enjoy! There was a raffle where kids received toys, coloring pictures, bingo and cornhole.

The three wise men also made an appearance and talked about why this is event is important to hold, “Have got to do something to ensure that the children here in our area can appreciate these same type of cultural celebrations and continue them, continue them on for the future.”

At the event there was the traditional Kings Ring and chocolate. Each cake has a small figurine and if you find it, you will have to make tamales.

“Dia de los Reyes Magos” will be celebrated January 6th, 2025.
