GOODING, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —

Officials with the Gooding County Sheriff’s Office have informed KMVT that Alanz has been taken into custody around 9:30 Wednesday morning in Phoenix.

According to Gooding County Sheriff Gough, around 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, a search warrant was served in search of 32-year-old Felix Luis Alanz, the suspect for the incident that left a bullet in a victim’s back. Alanz is charged with two counts of aggravated battery and felony possession of a weapon. The search was unsuccessful, and there is an active warrant for his arrest. Alanz is considered armed and dangerous.

Officials in Gooding are investigating an incident of an injured man with a gunshot wound.

The Gooding Police Department responded to the North Canyon Medical Center on Friday night after a man entered with a bullet lodged in his back, according to the Gooding Police Department and the Gooding County Sheriff’s Office.

The man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to city police. The investigation tied the original incident to an area outside the city of Gooding.

The incident remains under further condition, and there is no threat to the public as a result of it, according to police.
