TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — With Christmas over, it means that festive trees will soon have to be taken down and properly disposed of.

For those in Twin Falls city limits, PSI Environmental will pick up your tree on trash day. Business Development Manager Kacee Gram said there are guidelines to follow. You have to cut your tree into three foot sections and bundle them. It can either be placed next to your trash can or in it.

“We just ask that your lids are closed, your tree cannot be sticking out of your can just for safety reasons. And also our hoppers are not that big to get the tree in there as well. If it’s cut down, we can get in there. If it’s a full tree, unfortunately it will not fit into the hopper of our truck,” Gram said.

Gram added you can also take your tree down to the Twin Falls Transfer Station.

If you are in the city limits of Jerome, you can take it down to 824 4th Avenue West to dispose of your tree.

If you have any questions about your city or counties rules for disposing of your Christmas tree, you can call your city’s public works department or waste disposal company.
