BOISE, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —The weather may be cold but the price in a gallon of gas is starting to heat up. According to AAA, today’s average price for a gallon of regular gas in Idaho is $3.19, which is nine cents more than a week ago, 12 cents more than a month ago and 27 cents more than a year ago. Idaho ranks 12th in the country for most expensive fuel.

Nationally, gas sits at $3.14 per gallon which is four cents more than a week ago, seven cents since last month but five cents lower than last year.

“The cost of crude oil has dropped substantially in the last month or so. We’re hoping that the cold weather and favorable crude prices will put spiking gas prices in the deep freeze for a while,” says AAA Idaho public affairs director Matthew Conde. “Try to conserve fuel wherever possible and bundle your trips to stretch your fuel budget.”

Crude oil is nearly $72.50 per barrel. It is $1 less than a week ago, but $4 less than a month and a year ago.

Here’s a look at Idaho gas prices as of 2/10/25:
