Single vehicle accident in Jerome

JEROME, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Idaho State Police (ISP) are investigating a single-vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m. on Feb. 9 on Highway 25 at milepost 14 near Jerome.

A 24-year-old man was driving a 2017 Ford Fusion westbound on Highway 25 when he failed to negotiate a turn. He stuck an embankment, and the vehicle overturned, landing in a business before it caught fire.

The driver of the Ford was wearing a seatbelt and was medevacked to a local hospital.

All lanes were blocked for approximately one hour while crews cleared the scene.

The accident remains under investigation by ISP.
