Crash at unmarked intersection injures one in Jerome
JEROME, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Emergency crews responded to a crash involving two vehicles in Jerome.
At 3:34 p.m., a gray SUV and a red sports car crashed at the unmarked intersection of 3rd Avenue West and North Cedar Street, according to Jerome City Police.
The driver of the red car suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital, according to police. Firefighters with the Jerome City Fire Department had to free the driver before treating him.
Tow trucks are on the scene and assisting with cleaning up the scene. The intersection is closed, and the police said they would open it back up at around 4:50 p.m.
While the crash remains under investigation, police said drivers must always yield at unmarked intersections.
The crash also damaged a parked car along the shoulder of the street.
