KIMBERLY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Kimberly-Hansen Police Department will be cracking down on traffic violations after recent close calls and congestion around a school.

Police will enforce a zero-tolerance policy on improper parking and traffic obstruction near Kimberly Elementary, according to the police department.

Police instructed drivers to refrain from parking in pedestrian pathways along Main Street South or using business parking lots for school pick up or drop off. They also told drivers not to block traffic flow near the Main Street and Center Street intersection or obstruct businesses along Spring Road.

Officers will issue citations to violators, according to the police department. Drivers can pick up their children if they do not obstruct sidewalks, private properties or businesses.
