TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Gooding Senators are heading to the state tournament for the first time since 2006.

Gooding outlasts Filer 55-48 and will be the second representative from the 4A Sawtooth Central Idaho Conference at the state tournament.

The Senators and Kimberly Bulldogs will fight to bring home a state title to the Magic Valley when the tournament begins on Feb. 20th at Middleton High School.

Gooding was pushing the pace early and often on Wednesday night, moving quickly in transition.

The Senators led 30-23 at the half, but the Wildcats would battle back and tie the game at 47 with minutes left in the game.

Gooding would pull away and win 55-48.
