BURLEY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —Linda Gay (Adams) Esplin, an 83-year-old resident of Burley, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, November 15, 2024.
She was born August 13, 1941, in Ogden, Utah. She is preceded in death by her parents, Victor Henry and Vilma Viola (Delph) Adams; and her five brothers, Victory Henry, Alvin Myron, David Martin, Allan LeRoy and Danny Joe. They have been waiting a long time to be reunited as a family.
She is survived by her husband, Roe V Esplin; her six children, Anita (Kevan) Kjar, Sheri (Brian) Allen, Kenneth (Dianne), Stanley (Michelle), Diana (Jared) Shafer and David (Ciana); 34 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, all who love and will miss her.
After her own children were grown, she became a para (aid) in the Burley school district helping and tutoring those in need. Linda’s true joy was gathering people into her home. Over the years many children and adults have found refuge and become lifelong friends in the home of Linda and Roe Esplin.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – Burley 4th Ward, located at 515 E. 16th St., in Burley. Family and friends will be received at the church prior to the funeral from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. The interment will be at Pleasant View Cemetery in Burley following the funeral.
