Idahoans line up at the polls to vote for the GOP Caucus
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —Today was the GOP Caucus in the state of Idaho.
People went to their designated polling places to vote for their desired candidate.
Twin Falls residents had two places they could go to to cast their ballot, Twin Falls High School or the Filer Fairgrounds.
There were long lines of people waiting their turn to vote.
Being a Firehouse Caucus, people would go in vote and then leave right after.
The voting opened at noon and went on till around 2:00pm.
The ballot had the two main candidates, Donald Trump and Nikki Haley, and the other candidates who dropped out.
I talked to a Twin Falls resident, who said who he voted for and why “Ok, I voted for Trump today. Trump was one of the few presidents that never got us into a war Biden as soon as he got in there the world has seen how weak he was and now we are in all kinds of wars but yeah Trump gave us peace and prosperity his economy was just booming.”
Donald Trump has won the Idaho Republican Caucus, with 33,603 votes with Nikki Haley behind with 5,221 votes.
Trump has been awarded the 32 delegates from the state of Idaho.
the next caucus is tomorrow, the DC Republican Presidential which is party run.
