TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — An increased avalanche risk is forcing road crews to close a portion of a state highway near Stanley again.

Crews plan to close Idaho Route 21 from Grandjean to Banner Summit again due to the area’s major avalanche risk, according to the Idaho Transportation Department. They plan to close the road to all traffic in both directions at 5 p.m.

There is currently no set time for crews to reopen the road back up again.
