Woman injured after crash involving school bus

FILER, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — One woman is injured after a crash involving an empty school bus east of Filer on Friday evening.

At 5:19 p.m., a 55-year-old man driver and sole occupant of a school bus was travelling northbound on 2500 East, according to Idaho State Police. The driver failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with U.S. Highway 30 and collided with a 36-year-old woman in an SUV.

The driver of the jeep was transported to the hospital, and all lanes of travel were blocked for over four hours.

Idaho State Police is currently investigating the crash.
