Two people injured in crash near Kimberly

**UPDATE: Description of accident added; sheriff’s office confirmed that an extrication was called, but was not needed.

KIMBERLY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash on the border of the Kimberly city limits on Monday.

At 6:05 p.m., a driver heading southbound in an SUV stopped at the intersection of U.S. Highway 30 and North 3400 East, according to the Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office. The SUV driver then entered the intersection and crashed into an eastbound mid-size car.

Two people were injured as a result of the crash, the sheriff’s office said.

The crash is currently under investigation.
