UPDATE: Accident in Murtaugh takes two lives

MURTAUGH, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —Idaho State Police (ISP) responded to an accident Thursday. There was a two-vehicle crash that occurred around 8:45 A.M. on Feb. 6 on U.S. Highway 30.
A 2018 Chevy Traverse, driven by a 72-year-old man with a 74-year-old female passenger were headed westbound. A 2015 Chevy Malibu, driven by an 18-year-old male, was traveling eastbound when it crossed the center line and collided head-on with the Chevy Traverse.
The driver of the Malibu succumbed to his injuries on the scene and both occupants of the Traverse were medevacked to a local hospital where the passenger later succumbed to her injuries.
All lanes of U.S. Highway 30 were blocked for approximately three hours.
The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
