TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Twin Falls Sheriff’s Deputy responded to two dropped 911 calls Wednesday morning at 8:45 at the intersection of E. Ford Place and Canyon Ridge. Upon arrival, he found a structure fire and called in crews.

Firefighters arrived on the scene at 8:55 and began putting out the fire, the fire was put out by 10.

Crews found a victim trapped inside and they were removed from the home but died on the scene. The victim was identified by the Twin Falls County Corner as Pam Bolton.

Fire Marshall Gabriel Hammett said that crews faced challenges battling the flames because of the home’s location outside of the Twin Falls City Limits and lack of water access in the area.

“We are several miles from the closest fire hydrant, and so when we fight out in the district area we do have that water supply challenge,” Hammett said.

Fire trucks from the Rock Creek Fire District did help bring in additional water.

Hammett said firefighters do train for these situations, and teamwork with other departments is critical for these types of operations.

Right now firefighters are still investigating the cause of the fire.

The Twin Falls County Coroner tells us the victim is 85-year-old Pam Bolton.

KMVT will update as we receive more information.
