WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - Following an hour long cabinet meeting, the president’s cabinet came out and spoke to Gray Media’s White House correspondent Jon Decker about their top priorities for the next four years. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins has one of the most difficult jobs of any cabinet secretary, bringing down the cost of eggs.

Secretary Rollins outlined what her agency is doing:

“This morning we rolled out a plan. It’s a five-point plan that includes the importation of eggs for the short term. It includes deregulation. And then the longer term effort here is figuring out the therapeutic vaccine immunity question.”

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum says the president is laser focused on policies which will lead to the country’s energy independence.

“What do we need? We need an 800-mile pipeline. President Trump has directed us cut through the red tape, get this thing built and get it built now. It improves the security for us. It helps bring revenue back into the Treasury to pay down our debt.”

The president’s cabinet already looking ahead to next week’s joint address to Congress, where the president will lay out his legislative priorities for the next year in the Rose garden at the white House.
