Trump promises agenda of quick change
Addressed reporters for over an hour from Mar-A-Lago
WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - President-elect Trump spoke to reporters in Palm Beach Tuesday where he laid out his agenda once he assumes the presidency in less than 2 weeks.
Donald Trump is promising to hit the ground running – focusing on lowering inflation – and exerting influence and power on some of America’s top allies.
President-elect Donald Trump told reporters gathered at Mar-a-Lago that he anticipates major price reductions once he takes office and acknowledged that inflation is one of the major reasons he won the 2024 Presidential Election.
“January 20th will turn the economy around very quickly, because right now, I think we are when I think about our economy, I think about inflation, that’s what we have, we have inflation I believe we had a level we’ve never had before never been anything like that.”
On foreign affairs, Trump once again accused Panama of violating the Canal Treaty.
“They’ve overcharged our ships, overcharged our Navy. And when they need repair money they come to us, and they give us nothing, those days are over.”
Trump also warned that the Russia-Ukraine war could “escalate” and get “much worse.” Separately, Trump said he wants NATO members to commit to spending up to 5 percent of their economic output on defense spending. Finally, he threatened Hamas leadership saying “all hell will break out if the hostages are not released” by his inauguration.
The president-elect touched on a wide range of topics, including the pending reports from Special Counsel Jack Smith and the possibility of renaming the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America.
