Valley Vikings girls basketball wins by 45; Saturday’s basketball scores
HAZELTON, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Valley Vikings girls basketball team matched up with its second ten-plus win opponent of the week, and much like the first one, the Vikings came away with a statement win.
The Vikings led 11-9 late in the first quarter, but a quick run that included a buzzer beater from Arellie Juarez put Valley up seven after one.
In the second though things got out of hand quickly as Juarez, Lexi Huettig and Hailey Malone combined to score nearly 20 points in the quarter as the Vikings went to the halftime break up by 21.
In the second half the beatdown continued as the Vikings continued to grow the lead and by the time it was all said and done the Vikings came away with a 45-point, 71-26 win.
