CSI Rodeo to hold annual Boxing Smoker Saturday night

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge. Skills that are applicable to dodgeball as well as boxing and on Saturday night the College of Southern Idaho rodeo team will host its forty-seventh annual Boxing Smoker.

The Boxing Smoker is the primary fundraiser for the College of Southern Idaho rodeo team and pays for a wide range of needs from animal supplies like feed, all the way up to lodging on weekend road trips.

CSI Rodeo Coach Steve Birnie says that they are expecting another good crowd for the event and the match card even features some of his cowboys and cowgirls.

“We just got done with the fight card and we’ll have 15 matches. We got a guy from Snowville, Utah, fighters from Boise, all over the Magic Valley...and {even} four guys and one girl on the team are going to box tomorrow night so they’re pretty excited,” Birnie said.
