LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN/Gray News) – A woman in Nebraska was arrested Sunday evening after being accused of driving drunk to a strip club with her 1-year-old child in the backseat, according to police.

Officers were called to The Office Gentlemen’s Club around 11 p.m. after a bouncer reported the 26-year-old woman had arrived heavily intoxicated.

The bouncer asked for her ID, but she handed over her car keys instead.

After being denied entry, she returned to her car to retrieve her ID. The bouncer went to tell her the bar wouldn’t serve her alcohol, but she had driven off.

The woman had only gone a short distance down a connecting road when the bouncer went to check on her.

He discovered a 1-year-old in the backseat and told officers the woman got out of her car and fell down in the middle of the street at one point.

When officers arrived, they said the woman appeared heavily intoxicated, and the infant was cold with temperatures around 30 degrees Fahrenheit.

Officers covered the child with a coat before releasing them to a responsible family member.

During her arrest, officers had to forcibly remove the woman from the vehicle. Authorities later learned she had been convicted of DUI in 2019.

The 26-year-old blew a .221 BAC while at the jail. Police said she remained largely uncooperative.

Court documents show the woman faces charges of driving under the influence, transporting a child while intoxicated, resisting arrest, and two other misdemeanor counts along with an infraction.
