Powerball winner claims $328 million jackpot
BEAVERTON, Ore. (KPTV/Gray News) - The winner of a multimillion-dollar Powerball jackpot has been identified.
According to the Oregon Lottery, 79-year-old Abbas Shafii claimed the $328.5 million prize money that was won in a January drawing.

Shafii bought the winning Powerball ticket on Jan. 17 at the Fred Meyer on SW Walker Road.
Lottery officials said Shafii took the lump sum option worth $146.4 million.
“I am overjoyed to have won the Powerball and plan to use my prize to travel, invest and share my good fortune with nonprofit organizations that are close to my heart,” Shafii said in a statement.
Fred Meyer earned a $100,000 bonus for selling the jackpot ticket. The store announced it would be donating $50,000 to the Oregon Food Bank to help the local community.
