SALT LAKE CITY (Gray News) - A 7-year-old girl who was hospitalized for nearly a week after being shot in the head has reportedly died.

KSL reports Olivia Blackmer and her three sisters were shot by their mother, Tranyelle Harshman, in their Wyoming home on Feb. 10,

Harshman also ended up turning the gun on herself that day.

The children involved in the shooting ranged in age from 9 to 2 years old.

Olivia, 7, initially survived the shooting and was flown to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City.

But loved ones said she did not survive her injuries and died last Saturday.

“Olivia is with her sisters now. She gained her angel wings yesterday at 3:44 p.m. She fought so, so hard up til the last minute! Her body and her brain had been through too much,” Olivia’s stepmother, Katelynn Blackmer, shared through a GoFundMe.

She added, “Medication helped but we reached a point where medical options were exhausted and her body only continued to get worse.”

The Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office shared that Harshman, 32, called dispatchers after the shooting and told them about her children being shot and that she was going to shoot herself.

“We want to thank each and every one of you for your prayers and support for our family. We are in a rough spot,” Blackmer shared in her latest update. “We took time as a family to grieve and be in the moment before letting the world know. But we wanted to let you all know we are thankful for all that you have done.”

The biological father and stepmother of the two older children live in Utah.
