Horse pulled from frigid waters after falling into collapsed septic tank

PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (Gray News) – A horse in Colorado who found itself in a desperate situation was rescued by officials.
The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office posted images of the rescue after the horse fell into a collapsed septic tank in Pueblo West.
Rescuers said they arrived on the scene to find the horse’s head and front hooves sticking out of the ground.
They quickly sedated her and worked to pull her using tow straps mounted to a truck.
When she was finally pulled back aboveground, rescuers said she was shaking from the frigid waters inside the tank.
When the sedation wore off, the horse was fortunately able to get back on her feet.
