CHIEF METEOROLOGIST BOBBY KLARK - Monday Evening January 27, 2025

After a frigid morning, it turned out to be a decent day across the area. Plenty of sunshine, some clouds in and around the higher elevations with some “melting” of snow. This will basically be the pattern heading through the rest of the week. Temps will slowly creep upward with the valleys peaking in the 40s by the end of the week; 30s for the higher elevations. High pressure will sashay southeast by the weekend and that should allow a low pressure system to head on in and the opening of the “Pineapple Connection” so we are talking about possible moderate to heavy precip. We obviously need it with our dry/drought situation though pouring a whole bunch of moisture at once maybe another issue we have to follow. Tonight, mainly clear skies, calm wind, patchy frozen fog. Lows in the SINGLE digits and TEENs. Tomorrow, mostly sunny, some afternoon low clouds/fog in the higher elevations. Highs in the 20s and 30s
