WENDELL, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — There’s no trojan horse here, just a bus filled with state champions as the Wendell Trojans boys soccer team returned to Wendell around 3:45 p.m. Sunday afternoon after the long bus ride from Post Falls.

Although the players were tired from the trip, coming back home with the first place trophy and banner made things so much sweeter.

The squad was greeted by family members, friends and other supporters.

Of course the first man off the bus was the game-winning goal scorer in the state championship game, Cesar Muralles, who had the trophy in his hands and exited the bus to a loud ovation from the crowd, that continued as the team poured off the bus.

Once again congratulations to the Wendell Trojans boys soccer team on the 4A state title!
