Late night disturbance on Hankins Rd in Twin Falls leads to officer involved shooting
Cassia County Sheriff’s Office is leading the Critical Incident Task Force investigation.
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — There was an officer involved shooting in Twin Falls Wednesday night, after officers responded to the 400 block of Hankins Road just after midnight.
According to a press release issued by the Twin Falls Police Department, there were gun shots reported being fired outside of a residence.
When officers arrived they encountered a 38-year-old male who was armed with a rifle, the situation escalated leading to a Twin Falls Police officer shooting a male individual.
The unidentified man was transported to a regional trauma center and the extent of his injuries are unknown at this time
No officers were injured during the incident, and per department policy, they were placed on administrative leave pending an investigation by the Critical Incident Task Force led by the Cassia County Sheriff’s Office.
