CSI volleyball swept by No. 7 Utah State University-Eastern
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The College of Southern Idaho volleyball team took on seventh-ranked Utah State University-Eastern on Saturday looking for a second consecutive win.
and it was a block party early for both sides as Kelsy Stanger sent one back at the net before USU-E had three blocks on one rally for a point.
CSI would start pulling away a bit in the first set when Mina Benucci recorded a big kill, but once again Utah State stuck around keeping things close.
Benucci and Ashlee Stanger combined for a big block near the end of the first set, but unfortunately for the Golden Eagles they would drop set one and lose in straight sets to the Eagles.
They will be back in action on Thursday at home against Salt Lake Community College, looking to avenge a 3-0 loss from earlier this season.
