TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —Bringing the flavors of Thailand right here to the Magic Valley.

That’s the goal of a new authentic Thai restaurant now open in Twin Falls.

Mr. Thai co-owner Phidet Prichawai says he started his culinary journey nearly 30 years ago after leaving poor working conditions at a job in Poland.

He then got the opportunity to start working in different restaurants as a chef across Europe, an experience that would eventually lead him here to Twin Falls.

“His first opportunity to find a perfect location to open his own restaurant,” Prichawai said, through a translator.

Prichawai and fellow co-owner Phanee Holt, who he knew from Poland, now focus on trying to serve traditional Thai food at their restaurant along Addison Avenue, near Morningside Drive.

“This place is going to be serving the most authentic Thai outside of Thailand,” Prichawai stated.

Using only fresh ingredients, “We use only locally grown steak, unfrozen fresh chicken breast, and seafood that is flown in weekly.”

It’s something important to Chef Prichawai, “It turns like fresh food that is healthy for them and it’s the quality of it is beyond what you can ask for in any other type place in the area.”

On the menu you’ll find authentic foods like Udon On Fire and Pad Thai.

Expertise is what the owners feel sets their restaurant apart, ”From the experience that he has been working in restaurants all over the world, he feels like he knows what real Thai food is supposed to taste like."

Their favorite part of owning the restaurant? Satisfying the customer.

“The best food to the customer and like when you see you let customer enjoy the food, he’s really happy and he’s really proud of that,” Prichawai and Holt explained.

Mr. Thai is located at 1924 Addison Ave E., and is open 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
