Over the past few months, the Secretary of State has encouraged potential voters to register before the election and update their registration if it has changed.
Multiple assistant attorneys from Idaho will assist the office of U.S. Attorney Josh Hurwit in enforcing the Department of Justice’s Election Day Program.
It’s national voter registration day and with the election less than two months away local officials want to make sure you know what you’ll need to vote.
Under Idaho Statute, the Secretary is mandated to conduct a post-election audit to ensure the accuracy of the election tabulation for even-year primary and general elections.
During last week’s election, the levy did receive more votes in favor for the levy by 51%, however it still wasn’t enough votes to make the levy pass. The fire district needed two thirds of the vote.
Immediately following the election and continuing through June 5, all forty-four counties in Idaho are conducting a canvassing of the unofficial May 21st Idaho Primary election results
