TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —We won’t spare you the details on a bowling alley that’s been in Twin Falls for decades.

“He said, well you love bowling, why don’t you buy a bowling alley?” Dennis Seckle, owner of the bowling alley, Bowladrome, said on how he acquired the place.

He has had a love for bowling since a very young age, even being part of his high school’s varsity bowling team.

After buying the bowling alley from the previous owners in 2005, he has been trying to keep it up to date, “Put all kinds of new features in it such as scoring, lanes, and now we put in the new machines.”

There are more renovations being done this year, “We pulled the grid down in the game room. We are going to be making that into a whole facility for people for meetings and also for birthday parties.”

The bowling alley also holds special events different nights of the week.

“Coming on Friday nights or Saturday nights, Friday nights at 10 or Saturday nights at 6 and we have what’s called Cosmic Bowling. What that is, it will turn up the music really loud and turn on the flashing lights and displays and with the new carpeting in and the black light, it’s going to really make the place pop.”

One of their goals is to make bowling available for everyone, no matter their ability.

“A bunch of mentally handicapped or physically handicapped people that we accommodate, they come in and they will bring in with their handlers and we will put them on the lanes and let them enjoy bowling and they actually put a big lead together called Special Forces.”

They also serve food, “burgers, fries, sodas, pizzas, wings, cheese sticks, you know, a lot of munchies.”

The main goal of Bowladrome is that every time someone comes, it’s an experience.

“We try to offer an experience for every family that hopefully they can take away and then turn around and share with other people,” Leafy Caward, manager of Bowladrome, said.

The whole family can join, “One of the benefits that we have to coming here is the whole family can come from young to old.”
