Behind the Business: My Ice Cream Roll

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —Are you a softee for ice cream? Then here’s a sweet scoop! An ice cream shop in the Magic Valley Mall is changing the game in the Magic Valley. My Ice Cream Roll is the focus of this week’s Behind the Business.

“We open to have fun,” owner, Sam Al-Zohiry said.

At “My Ice Cream Roll,” it’s not only buying tasty ice cream, but Al-Zohiry ensures customers have a sweet experience.

“We treat you like a friend, treat you like a visitor, treat you like home... So, while I’m making your ice cream I will talk to you, talk about work, talk about life, make you feel your visit. Give you the love and experience everyone needs,” Al-Zohiry explained.

There is something for everyone at this ice cream shop; flavors change every month, but their staple flavors like Cookie Monster, Big Monkey and Xpresso are always available.

Everything is made fresh on-site, and customers can watch the process.

“Everything’s fresh here for example ice cream base we make it in a container, we don’t make 3,000 containers or gallon of ice cream and keep it in the freezer for a month waiting on you to come in,” Al-Zohiry said.

Customer service is an important part of this ice cream shop, but the quality of the treat is king, “We make your ice cream in front of you so if we see something wrong in it, we take everything, throw it in the trash, sanitize our machine, clean it and start fresh!” he exclaimed.

My Ice Cream Roll doesn’t only offer ice cream but they also have cotton candy.

“You pick the cotton candy shape and we make you a cotton candy to match the shape you choose,” Al-Zohiry explained.

Every year the ice cream shop gets remodeled, and that time has arrived.

“The remodel we’re going to do this month it’s going to include flavors, store decoration and other ideas.”
