Behind the Business: Les Schwab Tires opens new store in Gooding

GOODING, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —Les Schwab Tires opened a new store in the Magic Valley and that is the focus of this week’s Behind the Business.

In Gooding, a new Les Schwab Tires is open.

The company bought the lot back in October and it took about eight months to complete construction.

Les Schwab has services for brakes, tires, alignments, shocks, suspension, oil changes, and they do free trip safety check.

Eric Stumpf, the general manager of the new store says, this is a big benefit for people in the Gooding area, as the closest store was 25 miles away, until now.

“A lot of the people don’t have to travel as far, and they are really excited that they can stay here in town, a lot of people that come here are from this area,” said Eric Stumpf.

He says this store in Gooding has been open since June 19.

They are open six days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and then from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.

“We do more than just cars, we do service calls, we’ll travel to farms to help farmers out, semi-trucks if they have a flat tire or blown out tire on the side of the road, we’ll go out to them, we do more than just here at the store, so we do go out to the surrounding communities to help out,” said Stumpf.

They will be having a grand opening celebration Friday and Saturday at their location, which is 1750 Main Street in Gooding.
