Behind the Business: Body Balance Physical Therapy
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Being able to move your body the way you want to is something we take advantage of until we can’t anymore, but at Body Balance Physical Therapy, they aim to make that possible for you again. This week’s Behind the Business takes us there.
Whether it’s chronic pain, a recent injury, or recovering from surgery, physical therapy can help you feel and move the best you can again. At Body Balance Physical Therapy, they have been helping people with just that since 2003.
“What we do is we help people live life to the fullest, we make life better for them, when people are in pain and injured, we help make life better for them, so they can get back to doing to the things that they love,” said David Hutchinson, the CEO and owner of Body Balance Physical Therapy.
CEO and owner David Hutchinson is originally from Buhl and opened Body Balance Physical Therapy in Gooding in 2003. They expanded into Twin Falls in 2012 and now have three total locations, one in Gooding, and one on Eastland and Washington in Twin Falls.
There is no referral needed to make an appointment and they work with all insurance companies.
“At Body Balance Physical Therapy, anybody can come into our clinic, and we will help them overcome the issues that they have, our goal is to help avoid any unnecessary medications, surgeries and injections and we want to do it in a more natural way,” said Hutchinson.
Typically, you will be seen three times a week for four weeks, but it could be more or less depending on the severity of the injury.
Each of the clinics is open from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Currently, they are seeing about 10,000 people per year.
“They sit there with the physical therapist and go over what is causing the problems, we talk about what are they trying to do to improve their symptoms, and then we listen to what they do, and do special tests to see yes that’s what is causing the problems, then we explain specifically what is causing their issues, what is causing their pain, so we can design a successful treatment in physical therapy,” said Hutchinson.
They work to make the sessions fun, and greatly enjoy helping you feel better and being able to live life like you want to again.
“In physical therapy, a lot of people think what other hope do I have, I am a believer in physical therapy, I have treated hundreds of people that get better that overcome their injuries, without having to take medications, injections or surgeries,” said Hutchinson.
