Twin Falls man celebrates 100th birthday
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — It is the start of the new month, but for one lifelong Twin Falls resident, it is his 100th birthday.
Carl Norris is a World War II Navy veteran who, after his service, became a radio engineer for the KTFI radio station.
He then became a mail carrier for 31 years until his retirement; however, he continued serving his community by volunteering at the senior center to deliver meals to shut-in seniors.
His family came together on Sunday to celebrate his birthday and share memories of his life.
Norris said he attributes his secret to his long life to one thing.
“Because I trusted the Lord,” Norris said. “I turned my life over to him, and he blessed me in every way.”
Carl has three children: two daughters and one son. One of his daughters made the trip from Kentucky to see him.
KMVT wishes Norris a happy birthday.
