Twin Falls firefighters respond to house fire

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Firefighters responded to a house fire at a house along Castle Drive in Twin Falls on Friday.

The fire started in the house’s fireplace and worked its way up to the attic, according to the Twin Falls Police Department. One person was in the house at the time and escaped uninjured.

The fire was contained, and there were no other injuries or threats to nearby properties. Emergency responders temporarily closed Castle Drive near the house as they finished mopping up the fire.

The Twin Falls Fire Department, the Twin Falls Police Department, Rock Creek Fire District and Magic Valley Paramedics responded to the scene. Firefighters reminded homeowners to ensure that smoke detectors are on every level of the building.

The fire is currently under investigation.
