NAMPA, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A night to forget for the Valley Vikings.

No. 3 Valley was outgunned by No. 2 Prairie Friday night, losing 69-40 in the 2A semifinals.

Prairie built up a lead and never let Valley back into it.

Similar to the Vikings’ win Thursday, Prairie was causing mayhem for the Vikings. The Pirates were forcing turnovers that led to easy points in transition.

Valley had 38 turnovers in the loss.

The Pirates also shot lights out going 47.5 percent from the floor.

Hailey Malone had a team-high 10 points for Valley. Joanie Lewis and Alora Godfrey had nine each.

The Vikings will play for third place on Saturday.
