Abigail Carrera joined 10/11 as a Digital Content Producer in February 2023.
"Abby" was born and raised in Pasadena, Texas, a city located in the Houston area. In August of 2022, she graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Journalism degree in Broadcast-Production and a minor in Communication Studies.
During her time at the university, Abby produced a podcast episode for 93 Counties, a CoJMC podcast series, and her own radio show which both aired on 90.3 KRNU, the college radio station. Additionally, she wrote articles and collaborated with other students on multimedia projects that were later published on the Nebraska News Service website.
Abby joined the Delta Xi Nu Multicultural Sorority, Inc.'s National Executive Board as their Webmistress in 2024 and currently serves as their Director of PR and Marketing.
In her free time, Abby volunteers at The Cat House in Lincoln. She also enjoys going to the gym, trying new recipies, taking photos and scrapbooking.
When she’s not doing any of those hobbies, she's busy trying to make Otis, her 7-year-old cat, Instagram famous!
