TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — With state girls basketball, district boys basketball and district wrestling going on last week the high school bowling tournament flew a bit under the radar, but one individual bowler and three Magic Valley schools captured state titles.

In the 5A girls singles category, Twin Falls High School’s Braylynn Jeroue captured the area’s only individual state championship.

Her teammate Jennifer Nuzio took seventh and Burley’s Kayleigh Trowbridge took tenth.

On the boys side of 5A singles, Minico High School’s Joel Johnson and Daniel Hager took seventh and eighth respectively.

In the 4A girls singles, Wendell’s Harley Mitchell took fourth and her teammate Gloria Resendiz took ninth. Also in 4A, Declo’s Ellie Nebeker took eighth.

Finally in the 4A boys singles, Filer’s Dilan Heffern and Krew Williams took fifth and seventh respectively while Declo’s Michael Hoopes placed tenth.

On the team side of things we had a state champion for boys and girls in 4A as the Filer Wildcats boys team won the title and the Wendell Trojans girls won it all on the other side.

The third and final team championship for the Magic Valley was won by the Minico boys team who took home the 5A state championship.

Congratulations to all the individuals and teams on a great season!
