Kimberly Police remind drivers to obey traffic laws

KIMBERLY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The police department reminds all drivers to pay attention to the traffic laws. Traffic signs, signals and road markings are in place to ensure the safety of everyone, including children as they travel to and from school.
Stopping along Main Street South, Polk Street West and Center Street West is strictly prohibited, with emphasis in school zones. They are no-stop zones to keep the flow of traffic and ensure the safety of pedestrians. During school hours, stopping in those areas can put children at risk.
Drivers are urged to; obey all school zones, signs and signals; not stop or park in restricted areas; follow all traffic lights and stop signs; respect pedestrian crossings; and stay focused on the roads.
The Kimberly Police Department is committed to the safety of our community and will be monitoring areas closely, particularly during school hours, and violations will be enforced.
