HAILEY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A Blaine County medical worker is accused of sexually assaulting an elderly patient.

Corbin Lewis, 29, is charged with two counts of forcible penetration by use of a foreign object, according to court records.

On Feb. 20, the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office responded to the emergency department of the St. Luke’s Wood River Medical Center after hearing an individual wanted to confess to a sexual assault that occurred last October, according to a court affidavit.

A sheriff’s detective interviewed Lewis, who was employed as a paramedic in the emergency department.

The detective wrote in the affidavit that after reading Lewis his Miranda rights, Lewis confessed to him and a sergeant that he completed the act for sexual gratification and not medical purposes, according to court documents.

St. Luke’s Wood River Medical Center stated that they are fully cooperating with law enforcement, and Lewis is no longer employed with them.

Judge Jennifer Haemmerle placed a no-contact order in this case.

Lewis is back in Blaine County Magistrate Court for a preliminary hearing on March 4. His bond is set at $500,000.
