Jerome police respond to two reports of shots fired on Saturday

JEROME, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Jerome Police Department responded to two calls of shots fired in the city on Saturday evening.

Police responded to South Cleveland Street and East Avenue F at 6 p.m. for reports of gunshots in the area, according to the police department. Officers arrived on the scene and did not locate any victims, shell casings or damaged property.

Police then received a second call of shots fired at the intersection of 6th Avenue East and North Buchanan Street while investigating the first call, according to police.

Officers arrived at the second scene and located several shell casings and a damaged home, according to police. No injured people were reported or located.

Both reports are under investigation, and police said they believe the two incidents resulted from the same suspect.
