TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Multiple units responded to a report of a domestic disturbance just before 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, at a home on Polk Street in Twin Falls. When officers arrived, they noticed the suspect was holding a gun, according to Twin Falls Police,.

Officers quickly secured the area, surrounded the home and contained the situation. At approximately 8:30 a.m., gunshots were heard from inside the home. Police say no officers discharged their firearms or were injured.

Twin Falls Police, Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office, Twin Falls SWAT, as well as Twin Falls Fire all responded.

TFPD and Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office SWAT teams and crisis negotiators remained on scene.

The suspect was detained early Wednesday afternoon.

According to Twin Falls Police, the suspect’s name and charges will be released at a later time.

The situation was also resolved peacefully and the incident is under investigation.
