Twin Falls woman sentenced to prison for aiding Skylar Meade’s escape

ADA COUNTY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A Twin Falls woman was sentenced by the Ada County District Court on Friday in relation to the escape of inmate Skylar Meade back in March.
Tia Garcia plead guilty to a charge of escape by one charged, convicted of or on probation for a felony as part of a plea agreement on Nov. 6, according to court documents.
The court sentenced Garcia to 15 years in prison on Friday, with Garcia being eligible for parole after 10 years, according to court documents.
Garcia’s charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon was dismissed by the court, according to court documents.
The sentence includes her time in correction facilities since last March.
