Battery suspect killed in officer-involved shooting
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Twin Falls County deputies responded to a home near Filer at 4:45 pm Thursday afternoon, after receiving a 9-1-1 call regarding an aggravated battery with a weapon.
Following his arrival on scene, a deputy discharged his firearm, hitting the suspect. Life-saving efforts were made on scene, but the suspect ultimately died from his injuries. The deputy was uninjured.
Two victims from the battery were transported to St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center, one with serious injuries.
KMVT requested additional information from the Twin Falls Police Department multiple times on Friday, including where this shooting took place, as well as any details about the suspect shot or the victims.
KMVT was told this is an ongoing investigation and they would not release any other details.
The Magic Valley Critical Incident Task Force will be investigating the officer-involved shooting, with the Twin Falls Police Department acting as the lead agency.
